What are the bestselling printables on Etsy in May 2023. The list may surprise you.
I have used the search term Printable in the Etsy search bar and listed the items with a Bestseller tag below. I ran the search on the 8th of May 2024. Here’s what I found:
- Printable 2024 Month to a Page Calendar
- 500 Digital Product Ideas to Sell on Etsy
- Floral Digital Paper Printable Stationery
- PLR Colouring and Activity Book for Kids 911 Adventures
- 250 Digital Product Ideas that Sell
- Daily Planner Page
- How to Sell and Create Digital Products
- Make Money with AI Art
- 210 Mockups for Digital Products to Sell on Etsy
- Weekly Planner Page
Now, before you jump in and create a product to compete, let’s have a look at what is actually selling.
Only 4 of the top ten are items that are Printables ie. to be printed off and used – The month to a page calendar, the floral paper, the daily planner page and the monthly planner page. Four of the products are information products which you could probably create yourself in about 1 minute by asking ChatGPT.
One product is really useful to an Etsy seller – the 210 mockups for digital products and one product is a PLR product that is for Etsy sellers to buy and then sell themselves after a little alteration.
Which Digital Product is Best to Sell on Etsy?
From the list above, without a doubt it is the 210 Mockups for Digital Products. Why? Because it is the highest price at £10.85, therefore the highest profit margin. It is also something that every digital seller needs as it WILL save time. Listing images are time consuming, I can tell you! The really clever thing about this though is that it is appearing in front of it’s target buyer when they are not looking for it. They might think “WHOAH that’s a time saver! For £10.85, that will save me time AND make me money!” Plus it is the ONLY listing of it’s type on page 1, so no competition.
Ultimately, selling on Etsy is about 10% the product and 90% everything else. It is completely possible to make money on Etsy with one product. It is, I’ve done it and I continue to do it. My post on how to create a cheatsheet explains how to be an Etsy seller.
Bestselling Printables on Etsy or Bestselling Etsy Listing Keywords?
You can’t sell unless someone sees it. The best, most useful, most beautiful printables will not sell if the listing is not optimised because no one will see it. Etsy listing optimisation is a huge topic for another day, so for now, so just remember it’s the listing that sells, not just the product.
